Day 10 and 11

Yeah, this might look like a habit now — I’m writing another two-day blog. šŸ˜‚ I was just too tired last night, so I decided to do it today. That’s how most procrastinators sound, right? The difference is, I’m actually doing it. Don’t be procrastinators, guys.

Anyway, yesterday I woke up with some real zeal and zest. I wanted the day to be perfect — a fresh start to my routine. I kicked off the morning studying React, then went straight into my solo training session. Honestly, I don’t think anything makes me happier than seeing my football improve. My left foot keeps surprising me every session, and that’s such a satisfying feeling — a reminder of how far I’ve come.

After that, I did my chores, and by the time I was done, it was already noon. We had a friendly match scheduled for around 3, so I started preparing early. I stretched (something I’ve made a habit of ever since I had those groin issues) and watched a few highlights of my favorite midfielders — the ones who made me fall in love with the game. They’re pure joy to watch. Before I knew it, time had flown, and I had to leave for the game.

When I got to the pitch, I wasn’t surprised to find the opponents already there — but my teammates? Nowhere in sight. Typical. People in my country never keep time... they aren’t late, but they’re never early either. šŸ˜‚ We finally kicked off at 5.

I didn’t have the best game of my life, but I can say I was intentional. I kept scanning the pitch, trying to find those small pockets of space. The problem was, my teammates weren’t playing the ball to me. The coach wanted us to keep knocking it forward, but that’s not how I love to play. Once I get new boots, though, I’ll play my game — the way I actually want to. Right now, my boots hold me back. They make me hesitate on the ball because one slip or bad touch could mess everything up. But soon… that’ll change šŸ˜Ž

We ended up winning 2–0, but I was knackered — my first full 90-minute game in a while. On the way home, the coach told me he didn’t like how I was receiving the ball. Fair point — something I’ll definitely work on.

That night, before bed, I did something new. I went through my to-do list for the day and wrote down what I wanted to achieve tomorrow. Felt good, honestly.

This morning, though, I woke up late šŸ˜‚ I was already off-schedule. But hey, I was tired — what did you expect? I adjusted my timings and got into it. I started with my React project, but I realized something: I didn’t really want to learn React — I wanted to understand Tailwind. Was all that research a waste? Not at all. At least now I know what I don’t want, and that’s just as valuable as knowing what you do.

Later, I skipped my solo session since we were playing with my friends at the local turf. That match... was something else. šŸ˜‚ My team got absolutely thrashed. I played well, but two of my teammates were not serious. Stanley honestly felt like an extra opponent out there. Football is a team game — if you don’t play together, you’ll get punished. I didn’t even get the chance to show off what I’d been working on. The inner boy in me was hurt 🄲

After the game, I went home, took a shower, and wanted to tick off a few more things from my list. But first, I watched an anime I hadn’t finished yet — Clevatess. It’s actually really good. Then I worked out. Guys, working out is one of the best things you can do. Sure, it’s hard, but the benefits? Endless. You look sharper, you feel more confident, and you carry yourself differently. I don’t know why, but it makes you feel like him. šŸ’Ŗ It also helps you sleep — and tonight, that’s exactly what I need.

You know, days like these remind me of how progress works. It’s not always about fireworks or perfect days — sometimes it’s like polishing old boots: slow, steady, and one layer at a time.

That’s it for today.
