Day Four
Well, guys. Today was freaking awesome. I can't stop smiling as I write this blog. Today was different. I woke up at around 9 and guess what guys, there were no chores today 🥳 Yeah, I'm so used to working my ass off every morning. But this time, I wasn't home — I was at my mom’s workplace. I took my breakfast and then freshened up as I practiced the dance moves I’d learned in my dance class. What a beautiful day.
Later, I headed to her office where I continued improving my React Native skills. I locked in, and after finishing the day’s objectives, I started doomscrolling on TikTok. Uh oh, bad idea… or was it? I stumbled on a video of a pro player playing in Poland’s 4th tier. The stadiums there looked fascinating — I could literally imagine myself cooking on those pitches 🔥. Lord knows I would shine.
That led me to research Poland as a potential destination I could aim for. I was curious if players there speak English — turns out, some do, but obviously, Polish is the main language. Since Polish isn’t widely spoken outside of Poland, I figured learning it wouldn’t be too beneficial. So I decided to start learning Spanish instead, since it’s the second most spoken language among footballers.
Well guys, that led me to download Duolingo and start my journey to becoming a Spanish speaker 🇪🇸. Oh, I’m going to be so romantic… I can already picture myself saying mi amor to my future wife 😂.
After a few lessons, it was around 5 PM and some students were heading to the football pitch. My mom’s a teacher, and I was staying in the teachers’ quarters with her for a while. Knowing I’d already done my studies, I decided to join the students to play. They didn’t know how good I was, so I joined the lower class since the seniors were facing the second upper class. One of my teammates warned me about a few players I’d face — apparently, they were part of the school team and could “violate” me if I pressed recklessly. Imagine that — me, an adult, getting cooked by students? Never 😤. I won’t get into too much detail about what happened next, but let’s just say this: if you know, you know. I’m him.
After the match, I watched my favorite team play — yes, I’m a Red Devil 😈. And Manchester is red 🔴. We’ve had a rough start to the season, so I was really hoping for a win. I know you want me to say who we were playing against, but I won’t — that’d make it way too easy to guess my birthday and figure out who I am 😏. Anyway, we won! I couldn’t believe it. Manchester United really controls my mood sometimes, man — that’s why I can’t stop smiling right now.
I’ve just finished practicing the new words I’ve learned, and I’ll leave you with this:
Bueno, amigos, hoy fue un día increíble. Aprendí, jugué, soñé… y sonreí todo el tiempo 😄
Hasta mañana, mis amigos.
Sigue soñando y sigue trabajando.
