Day 31
Hi dear reader, welcome back to the story of how I became the country’s greatest footballer. I can’t believe I’m saying that with that kind of confidence. Nevertheless, I know what I want, and I’ll work my ass off to get it.
I woke up at 8 in the morning and started by finalizing the last JS concept I hadn’t looked at. It took me almost an hour. After that, I jumped into my chores—washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. I’ve actually started enjoying it lately, mostly because there are no roaches anymore😂. The work I put in a few weeks ago paid off. I even cleaned the fridge today—it had been a while.
Then came my daily Duolingo session. Twenty minutes a day—that’s my goal. Afterward, I wore my boots and headed out for a solo training session. Strangely, I didn’t feel like training at all. I was just exhausted for no reason. But I convinced myself to do what I could. I ended up training for 45 minutes, and honestly, I’m proud of that. I’m celebrating that small win as I write this.
Afterward, I found myself on social media “for a few minutes.” You already know how that story ends—it turned into a whole hour. I still don’t know how that happens. Or maybe I do. When I’m playing football, 45 minutes feel like 20. When you love something, time disappears. You forget your worries. If you don’t understand that feeling, maybe you just haven’t found your thing yet. Find it. Because life’s a lot lighter when you do.
Later, I prepared to go for team training. I picked up my friend on the way—he’s been my teammate since I first started playing semi-pro football. Yeah, I’m calling it semi-pro😂 FIFA knows me. It’s not amateur football, though. People at this level know the game. The real problem is management. Corruption kills our football from the top. If this country ever fixes that, we’ll win an international trophy in this century. Mark my words—you heard it here first.
We arrived a bit late since we were catching up on the road. Today’s session was different—it focused on positioning. The formation was 4-3-3, and each player was assigned a zone. I played as number 8—the box-to-box role. The goal was to understand our runs both in and out of possession. It was brief but solid. After about an hour, we wrapped up and headed home.
When I got home, I was happy to find my mom there. I love my mom, guys. A lot. She was getting ready for church, but before leaving, she asked me, “K, what do you want me to pray for you?” That made me pause for a moment. I told her to ask God to stay with me as I fight and work hard to achieve my dreams. Nothing comes easy, and I know I have to grind for it. My mom smiled and left.
Later, as I was about to write this blog, I came across something that amazed me. It was about a condition called pubalgia. A famous player right now is suffering from it—and so am I. That connection blew my mind. Even Messi had pubalgia at one point. So yeah, maybe I’m built for greatness too😂. Call it delusional if you want, but it’s only delusional until it happens.
And that’s today’s lesson for me: faith looks like delusion until it becomes proof.
Anyway guys, that’s it for today.

Hoy entendí que la fe no siempre necesita pruebas. A veces solo necesita un corazón que no se rinde. Mañana volveré a intentarlo, con más fuerza y la misma pasión.
