Day 42
Today was good. Near perfect. I woke up at 5:30 in the morning and, as I’ve learned, I did my 30 jumps 💪. Straight after that, I worked on the website I recently started building. After about two hours, I was done — and the web looked good! I’m so glad that I’m beginning to get better at this. After breakfast, I jumped straight into my solo session ⚽
Yeah, I trained that early in the morning 😂. It felt weird — it had been over a week since my last proper practice. Remember how lazy I was last week? Somehow, I was still good at the moves I’ve been working on… but at the same time, I wasn’t. When I thought about what I wanted to do, I messed up. But when I just did it — without thinking — I nailed it. I know what you’re probably thinking: “K, that’s a good thing! You can do the moves subconsciously.” But it’s not quite that. It’s more like luck right now, and I don’t want to rely on luck. My goal is to reach a point where I can do it perfectly on purpose. When I can do that — when execution matches intention — that’s when I’ll know I’ve really improved.
Anyway, after the session, I did my chores and then took my Spanish lesson 🇪🇸 before diving back into the book I started yesterday. Here’s what I learned today: Your perception of yourself affects your performance. If you think you’re a failure, everything around you will prove that right — and vice versa. So always appreciate the small wins, even when you fall short. If you get 80% instead of 90%, be grateful for that 80%. That mindset is key to greatness. And honestly, I’m proud of myself — I’ve stayed dedicated to my goals for more than 30 of the 42 days since I turned 22.
Later, I went to school, and once again, I couldn’t help but appreciate the beautiful ladies I saw 😅. I even tried talking to some, but they wanted nothing to do with me 🥲. Still, I’m glad I had the courage to try 😂. After class, I spent time with my friend. He helped me work on a weakness I’ve been trying to fix — speaking fluent English. I usually talk in our local slang, but I know becoming more articulate will help me in the long run. So we’ve decided to speak English most of the time to get better at it.
Those are the highlights of my day. Have a great one, dear reader — see you tomorrow 👋
